With a Bespoke Unit, you can learn how to cut cigars

It is fundamental to the experience of smoking a cigar that you cut it first. Despite that, even the most experienced cigar enthusiasts have a tough time making it.

An improperly cut cigar may result in the unraveling of wrappers and splitting of cigars. Using the incorrect tools can damage your cigar, making smoking nearly impossible.

You can develop the perfect cigar lighting technique, whether you are an experienced cigar smoker or brand new to the culture. Our own recommendations of the best tools to make great cuts are also available.

Different cutting styles will be offered by different cutters. Cuts are usually referred to by their names. V-cutting, for example, results in v-cuts. The standard straight cut can be made by any guillotine cutter.

In addition, a dull blade can crush or tear the tobacco on your cigar, ruining your overall smoking experience. To cut through leaves cleanly, whichever tool you choose needs to be sharp.

The most common tools available are any of the following:

  • One-bladed guillotine
  • Guillotine with two blades
  • CIGARETTES

Cigar cutters with single blades

Single blade guillotines are the most basic form of cigar cutter. They are relatively inexpensive and widely available. A straight cut is what they do just like their double-bladed cousins. Their popularity is waning as guillotines with double blades become more prevalent.

In poor economic conditions, single blade guillotines are hard to find, but they tend to be very cheap. Most decent cigar guillotine features a diagonal blade, resulting in slicing rather than crushing.

Single-bladed guillotines have the disadvantage of quickly dulling and being difficult to maintain. In addition, there is an ornate version available that sometimes looks like a pocket knife with an exposed blade.

Cigar cutters with double blades

With single guillotines being obsolete, double guillotines are the most popular tools available today. It is rare that an enthusiast doesn’t use a guillotine for their daily cutting needs now that they’re so reasonably priced as normal guillotines.

The shape, quality, and material used in double blade guillotines can vary. There are only two opposing blades in the basic models, which are pressed together in a plastic case to create a blade.

A premium model can, however, be made of high-quality steel and are equipped with spring-loaded mechanisms. Others even come with an automatically sharpening blade.
